Owen Sound, Guelph, Oswego

Uh, yeah. Okay I'm up. I think I took this whole nap thing too seriously. I forgot to blog. Sorry about that. It's unlike me.

So we did a show in Owen Sound that was a fundraiser type deal for the Owen Sound Children's Chorus. They are raising money so they can go to New York City and sing at Carnegie Hall. Happy to report that a near sellout crowd ensured that they made a bit of dough for their trip. Only a few more bake sales and bingos to go. We wish them well. The show was a lot of fun and the Owen Sound crowd treated us well.

The following night was a return to the fantastic River Run Centre in Guelph. This was our fourth or fifth time playing there and it was fun as always. The crowd in Guelph was very animated and at times we wondered if our presence was even necessary. They seemed quite able to entertain themselves. The crew at the River Run deserves special mention. They are top notch and always ready with a fog machine. We salute you.

After some more studio time for the album, we crossed the border and did a show in Oswego, NY at the state university. This was our third time in Oswego in two years and we had a great time. Each time the crowd is bigger and louder. We can't wait to go back. We even got to eat in the university residence dining hall. We hadn't done that in years and years and years. No matter what country and what university, the food is remarkable consistent. And there was pie!

We have a couple shows this weekend and then one next week in Perth. We'll get to the studio a couple more time to finish our work on the album. It's rather exciting. We're excited for you to hear it when it comes out in January.

Blog at you soon...
